An Evening of Reckoning & Rising

Still flying high from An Evening of Reckoning & Rising with V (fka Eve Ensler) to celebrate her new book and the 25th anniversary of V-Day! It was truly radical magic at every level. V (formerly Eve Ensler) is one of the most incredibly inspiring humans I have had the honor of connecting with in my life. It was profoundly touching to witness all of the lives in the room that V and everyone in V-Day and One Billion Rising have touched over the past 25 years or more, an impact for gender justice that continues to circle the globe. Hearing writing about V’s life from her new book Reckoning enacted on stage by Marisa Tomei, Rosario Dawson, Noma Dumezweni, Dylan McDermott, Paula Allen, and Celeste Lecesne only deepened this feeling for me. These artists are beyond brilliant and so aligned with V’s work for liberation that I could feel each word they spoke in my body. And to follow all of this brilliance by singing “We Are Rising” to close out the event was such an honor and gift. May this event add more energy towards our work for love and liberation!
