Music Sail on the Clearwater
As part of her 150-mile Fever Pitch Pilgrimage from Albany to New York City, social justice singer Taína Asili brings her music and activism aboard the Clearwater. Joined by guitarist Gaetano Vaccaro, bassist Molefi Ramos, and vocalist Eliana Rowe, Asili will share a 45-minute program featuring selections from her groundbreaking climate justice show Fever Pitch. Celebrated by Rolling Stone, NPR, and Democracy Now!, Asili has performed on renowned stages from Lincoln Center to the Women’s March on Washington, and she is honored to bring her work to such a special sail. Between songs, Asili and her team will reflect on the pilgrimage itself, walking in solidarity with communities for climate justice and collective liberation as they head into NYC during Climate Week.
